I am a voyager, adventurer, and visual storyteller traveling across the Pacific, documenting cultures through photography, film, and lived experience.
Through my work via my mission, One Ocean, One People, I move between island communities across Oceania through immersion. Spending time within village communities, building relationships, and learning from the people I meet along the way.
My journey is centered around understanding how culture, identity, and the ocean connect Pacific Island communities. Rather than passing through places, I stay, listen, and document stories as they naturally unfold.
Much of my work has been centered around the Samoan islands, particularly in American Samoa. What drives me is not just the destination, but the process of getting there, how I meet the people, the stories shared, and the experiences that shape the journey itself.
Through this work, I have conducted interviews, created films, and documented everyday life across island communities, building a body of work that reflects both the beauty and challenges of life in the Pacific.
This grant would directly support my continued journey between islands, allowing me to document more communities, expand my storytelling, and share timeless pieces for future generations.
At its core, my work is about links between islands, between people, and between cultures that are deeply connected by the ocean. My goal is to continue this voyage, using storytelling to bring these journeys to life and inspire a deeper understanding of the Pacific and the communities within it.
