Socialmark Giving is a grant initiative operated by Socialmark, LLC. Through our grant programs, we provide funding, recognition, and exposure to individuals whose work aligns with the spirit of our platforms.
Socialmark Giving grants are funded entirely by Socialmark, LLC from its own resources. They are not funded by participant fees, entry payments, or charitable contributions from third parties.
Grants are awarded at the sole discretion of Socialmark and do not constitute prizes, sweepstakes winnings, or charitable donations.
Submitting an application does not create any expectation of receiving a grant.
Use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Socialmark Giving currently administers the following grant programs. Each program has its own focus, but all follow the same application and review process described in these rules.
Top Pets: Rescue Grant
Supporting people who rescue animals in need, and animals that support people in need.
America's Favorite Photos: Exposure Grant
Elevating photographers whose work tells powerful stories and creates positive impact through the art of photography.
The Best Adventure: Adventure Grant
Fueling adventurers, explorers, and storytellers whose journeys inspire others and create meaningful connections.
The Best Adventure: Canyon Grant
Helping people experience the wonder of the Grand Canyon and share the story of their journey.
Grant applications are open to individuals worldwide, subject to the following:
Applicants must be at least 13 years of age.
Applicants must provide truthful, accurate information. Applications containing materially false or misleading information may be disqualified or revoked at any time.
Employees, officers, and contractors of Socialmark, LLC, and their immediate family members, are not eligible.
Applicants are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and tax obligations in their jurisdiction.
Void where prohibited by law.
There is no fee to apply for any Socialmark Giving grant. You will never be asked to pay to apply or to receive a grant award.
Grant applications submitted by applicants who have not confirmed they are at least 18 years old will not be publicly viewable on the site.
Applicants who are at least 13 years old but under 18 may apply with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
If selected for a grant:
The parent or legal guardian will be the legal recipient of the grant.
Grant funds will be issued to the parent or legal guardian.
Any required tax documentation must be completed by the parent or legal guardian.
By submitting an application as a minor, you represent that you have permission from your parent or legal guardian.
Socialmark may require verification of parental or guardian consent at any time.
Applicants under the age of 13 are not eligible to apply.
To apply, create an account on socialmark.org and complete the application form for your chosen grant program.
Each application includes a personal profile, optional photo uploads, and a written statement explaining why you should be considered.
Applications are saved automatically and may be completed over time prior to submission.
Once submitted, applications enter the review queue.
Applicants may submit one application per grant program.
Applications may be withdrawn at any time prior to a grant being awarded.
Grant recipients are selected by Socialmark, LLC based on subjective evaluation of applications using a variety of factors, including those described in these rules.
Grants are not awarded by random selection, lottery, or chance.
Public engagement (such as likes) may be considered as a signal of visibility or community interest, but is not a voting mechanism and does not determine outcomes.
Purchases, payments, or participation in any Socialmark competition, platform, or paid offering do not influence grant selection.
There are no guarantees regarding selection, and no applicant has any inherent advantage or likelihood of receiving a grant.
All submitted applications are reviewed by the Socialmark team.
The review process considers the full application, including:
Profile information
Photos
Written statement
Publicly available information provided by the applicant (such as social media or website links)
Applications that are accepted during review may be published on socialmark.org and become publicly visible.
Acceptance for public display does not guarantee a grant award.
Socialmark reserves the right to decline, remove, or disqualify any application at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to content that is inappropriate, offensive, misleading, or inconsistent with the values of the program.
While each grant program has its own focus, Socialmark generally considers:
Authenticity. A genuine story and real commitment. We value honesty and heart over polish.
Impact. Meaningful difference, whether local or broad. Impact can be large or small - what matters is that it's real.
Purpose. A clear sense of why you do what you do, and how a grant would help you do more of it.
Quality. Thoughtful presentation, including well-written responses and photos that effectively tell your story.
Community. Connection to others through collaboration, service, mentorship, or shared experience.
Grant award amounts, timing, frequency, and recipients are determined at the sole discretion of Socialmark.
Socialmark may choose to award any number of grants, including zero, in any program or time period.
Grants may consist of cash, goods, services, or a combination thereof, as determined by Socialmark.
Grant funds or benefits may be used at the recipient's discretion for purposes aligned with the program's theme, unless otherwise specified.
Recipients may be required to provide tax documentation (such as a W-9 or equivalent) prior to receiving funds.
Grant recipients may be asked to participate in promotional activities, including being featured on Socialmark platforms, social media, and marketing materials. Acceptance of a grant constitutes consent to reasonable promotional use of name, likeness, and submitted content. Promotional content may include appropriate disclosures where required.
Socialmark reserves the right to revoke a grant award at any time, before or after disbursement, if it is determined that the recipient provided false or misleading information or engaged in conduct inconsistent with the program.
We take your privacy seriously.
Public Information. If your application is accepted, your name, profile photo, bio, photos, written statement, and social links may be displayed publicly.
Private Information. Your mailing address, phone number, and email address are not displayed publicly and are not shared with third parties. This information is used solely for administration of the grant program.
Account Information. Used for account access and communication related to your application.

You retain ownership of all content you submit.
By submitting an application, you grant Socialmark, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with Socialmark Giving and related promotional activities.
You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to all submitted content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Socialmark Giving grants are provided "as is" and at the sole discretion of Socialmark, LLC.
Socialmark makes no guarantees regarding the number, frequency, or amount of grants awarded.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Socialmark, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the grant program or use of grant funds.
Socialmark reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any grant program or these rules at any time, with or without notice.
Material changes will be reflected by the updated date above. Continued use of the application system constitutes acceptance of any revised rules.

Socialmark, LLC is a for-profit company. Socialmark Giving grants are funded solely by Socialmark and are awarded at its sole discretion. No charitable organization has engaged Socialmark to raise funds or administer grants on its behalf. Grant awards are not charitable donations and may be subject to applicable taxes in the recipient's jurisdiction.
