K

Kristina Quinn

I’m a fun loving individual who enjoys the outdoors more than the normal person! My job includes working in a native garden while educating children and disabled adults. I’ve lived in tents, trailers and would choose that life over a mansion any day of the week.

Sacramento River Discovery Center is an educational experience for those of all ages! I bring in my traveling and outdoor experience and pass lessons along to children, adults, from all walks of life. The department of rehabilitation has groups attend weekly to learn work skills, people skills, time management, etc. The Red Bluff High School Workability group attends weekly to learn the same above skills through a fun working visit. Visitors from all over reside in a nearby campground and visit when passing through to visit our king snakes Al and George, pet our taxidermied mountain lion named River or just to say hi! The Sacramento River Discovery Center is able to continue to keep the doors open for these wonderful experiences thanks to donations and grants - this grant would allow for people to explore our native garden, learn about the lifecycle of the salmon, watch pipeline swallowtail butterflies hatch from their caccoons amongst many other learning experiences.
