Love to travel with my family. I am a teacher that teacher stem preK-5th grade.

Visiting the Grand Canyon would provide an unforgettable, real-world learning experience that deepens students’ understanding of earth science, geology, and natural history in ways a classroom alone cannot.

Seeing the canyon’s layered rock formations firsthand allows students to visualize concepts like erosion, weathering, and the passage of time, making abstract standards come to life.

This opportunity is especially meaningful for many of our students who may not otherwise have access to travel experiences of this scale. A grant would remove financial barriers and make this transformative trip possible, ensuring all students regardless of background can engage in hands-on, place-based learning that sparks curiosity, builds connections to science, and creates lasting memories tied to their education.
