I am retired and am fundraising coordinator for a veteran owned non profit Chad's Promise located in Plant City, Florida. We board dogs FREE for veterans who have to go for in patient medical or mental healthcare treatment. Our service includes: emergency pick up, veterinary care, grooming, food, daily exercise and sterilized kennels. We rely totally on donations to provide the service to the veterans. Mental health care issues are a front runner.
We provide a safe haven for veteran's dogs while they are away seeking the medical or mental health care treatment they need. Boarding is FREE to the veteran. Mental health care issues is a front runner for our veterans. We have had several say "you saved my life, I was about to end it". We provide veterinary care, grooming, food, daily exercise, sterilized kennels, emergency pick up of the dog. We mitigate the humane society because they will not guarantee the veteran will get their dog back because it is adopted out or euthanized. This is why the veteran puts off getting the help they need. The dog is often times all they have and is their best friend. We rely soley on donations.
