God, family and animals are my life. A very joyful life. In my 60’s, I started riding horses again and got really interested in equine therapy. My granddaughter and I started our own little equine therapy school. She and I were the first students. I also have an equine specialist certification. Cheyenne, our first heart horse taught us so much about the power of these beautiful creatures have in calming the soul. For three years we road Cheyenne, wrote stories about her and took great care in loving and being with her. Sadly, we lost the opportunity to be with her anymore. The stables closed down. Now, almost ten years later, life has taken us on a beautiful journey. A dear friend and I were talking one day and I happened to mention I wanted to start a horse sanctuary and offer equine connections at our ranch. My nephew, Kyle, had just passed away and I wanted to give people who suffered from emotional pain and suffering to try and heal with the horses. I had one horse Maggie who is perfect for children and adults can experience and connect with her. A very dear friend offered two more horses to me free of charge to retire at the ranch. Kyle’s Hope-Horse Heart Connections was born. The experience for me has been life changing. I pray it may change and heal other people’s lives as well. By the way I will be 75 this year. You are never too old to start something new.
