I am 55 years old and love taking pictures. I don't have a camera. I just use my cell phone. I love how the world around you speaks to you when your a photographer. When it rains you get different pictures then when it's dry. You get amazing pictures when it snows. The sky is always changing. Photography has become a main part of my life.

Hello my name is Melanie. I only have a cellphone to take pictures. This grant would let me buy a camera. As you can see I love taking pictures outside. Especially of the sky. The sky amazes me with how it's constantly changing depending on the season. I love looking at the world as a photographer. I'm always  like wow that would make a great picture. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled over my car to get a picture. There are times when opportunities come to you. Like the beautiful butterfly photo I was able to take. Photography is part of my every day life. It gives me such joy. I hope you will consider me for this grant.
