America's Favorite Photos · Exposure Grant
I've always thought that the most impactful moments are the ones that nearly go undetected, like a quick look, a change in light, or a moment that expresses everything without using words. I am able to capture and preserve such moments through photography, film, and videography. This art has never been only about a camera or lens for me. It concerns individuals. It's about producing something that has meaning long after the moment has passed, making someone feel noticed, and sharing a narrative that is worthy of being shared.
Solid Ground
Color film portrait of a woman standing firm against a grey winter landscape. The Pan-African colors of her shirt speak loudly. Her eyes speak louder.
B-Side
Shot on Polaroid at a record store, she stands still while the world behind her hums with sound and color. Eyes closed, pearls on, unbothered — her own greatest hit.
Let Her Go
Motion blur meets fall foliage in this breathtaking frame. She's already mid-turn, already free — a flash of white against a canvas of gold and amber.
Between Seasons
Film captures a man leaning into the woods, his form bleeding into the autumn light. Still, yet restless — like a season that hasn't decided whether to stay or go.
Rooted
Man and forest become one in this dreamlike double exposure. Branches reach where thoughts drift, and the earth holds what the eyes can't quite see. A portrait of depth and belonging.
Two Worlds, One Step
A double exposure that layers presence and place — the figure caught mid-stride, her silhouette merging with itself as if moving between who she was and who she's becoming.
Still Waters
Shot on 35mm film, this intimate portrait captures a quiet moment of self-possession. She sits grounded, unhurried — her gaze a steady current beneath a calm surface.
