Quinten Mack

Quinten Mack

Quincy Mack — Writer / Director / Lead Actor / Composer Quincy Mack is a filmmaker and musician whose work is rooted in memory, observation, and lived experience. Much of this film was developed on location at Centennial Park, where he spent time studying the environment and building the story through its smallest details. Alongside his filmmaking, Quincy has independently written, recorded, and released multiple folk albums, shaping a personal approach to sound and storytelling that carries into his film work. He is also the creator of the analog horror series SAMSARA, along with several short films. In addition to writing and directing, Quincy plays the lead role of Harith and is composing the film’s score—approaching the project as a fully authored piece from both a visual and sonic perspective. He was also awarded a $100,000 Presidential Merit Scholarship to the Pratt Institute.

I’m a strong fit for the exposure grant because I’m actively building something real and time-sensitive. I’m currently directing an independently produced feature film that I’ve developed from the ground up, with production scheduled for this June. This isn’t just an idea—it’s a project already in motion, with a team, a full plan, and a clear creative vision.

My work focuses on grounded, character-driven storytelling, and I’ve spent the past several years consistently writing, directing, and refining my voice as a filmmaker. This grant would directly amplify not only my work, but a film that is being made right now, helping it reach a wider audience and gain the visibility it needs at a crucial stage.

I’m not waiting for an opportunity—I’m creating one, and this exposure would help elevate both the project and my growth as an emerging filmmaker.
