I have rescued three dogs—two here in the USA and one in Colombia—and I used to help many animal welfare organizations; I always look out for and protect animals, report cases of abuse, and drive carefully to avoid hitting them. I rescued my husky seven years ago from "Calle 8"; he had been kept in poor conditions for breeding purposes and was aggressive—he bit us several times. Now, after seven years with us, he is a very loved and spoiled dog; we still have to be careful around his food, but otherwise, everything is fine. Now
Now for the story of Milo: a friend of mine in Groveland found this cute big dog running alone in the streets and called me. I was living in Miami at the time. I said, "Oh my God, he's beautiful—we have to find his family, but please get him to safety." We never found anyone. She doesn't like dogs, and the dog started causing problems between her and her husband, so I told my husband, "We're moving to Groveland!" He said, "What?! Are you crazy? There's nothing there." I said, "Yes! We have a new dog." It was a nightmare—we spent a lot of money—but we finally moved. It was hard with Bruno at first. We've been here for months now, and... :( I still haven't found a job, and neither has my husband. But the dogs are happy. I hope you guys can understand the love that I have for them to leave everything behind and move to here.
