I am newly retired (12yrs of Social Work, 8yrs of Teaching). I am now putting more emphasis on rescue. My latest is Bernard, my son; yes, I adopted him. He is a 135 lb Great Pyrenees. I have been rescuing for now 13yrs, but I need funding for more rescues! I am on SS and have a limited budget. Please help.

More and more "older" dogs are being euthanized than ever before. No one wants an older dog. Bernard is 8 with psychological problems and mistreated by their previous owners. I take the older dogs in and give them the love they need until their last breath. Dogs have been my passion since I was about 15, now still loving rescues at 68. I don't have the funding to possibly bring more than one dog in at a time, because of my "limited" budget. Right now I have a lot of friends in need of older dogs, and I am now placing these dogs into loving families.
